At first when I started to give some lessons in the
teaching practice period I wanted the learners to like me and work with me but
is soon learned the ugly truth. That is that not all learners will like you, especially when you try to discipline them. Even when you give your all, there
will still be learners that do not appreciate it at all and does not bother to do
homework but on the upside, I have found that most of the learners do
appreciate it, especially when you try to make learning and the class fun and
more interactive. I knew that I was on the right path as a teacher when the
learners thanked me at the end of the lesson that I gave. The experience I
gained while on teaching practice was the best, I think it made me a better
teacher in the sense that I am now more open minded to the problems that
learners face each day, and that I now know what works and what does not work
in the classroom.
